With so many attractions to choose from, we have a picked a few sights to give you a flavor of all that is New York City. A sampling from the world class museums, amazing architectural and engineering masterpieces and entertainment waits for your enjoyment.
Please note that the tours will leave promptly from the hotel per the time noted with individual tours. Please meet at the Guest Tour table at the Registration area no later than 15 minutes prior to tour time.
THURSDAY, JUNE 15, 2017
New York Transit Museum
$24 per person
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (allowing extra time for transit time for bus, 40 minutes) Tour starts at 2:30 PM
Located in a 1936 subway station in downtown Brooklyn, the New York Transit Museum brings to life the city’s early days and the transit system that made the city grow. Step onto vintage subway cars to relive the experience of traveling through the city during the early, mid, and late twentieth century!
Experience a hands-on collection of antique subway and elevated cars and detailed exhibits that tell the rich story of New York City’s public transportation. Explore the history, technology, and future of the city’s transit system with our expert staff. Transportation will be provided via subway or bus.
After the tour if guests are interested part of the group can walk back to Manhattan across the Brooklyn Bridge.
Tour lasts 90 minutes and transportation by bus will be provided to and from museum.
Double Decker Bus Tour
$30 per person
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Let our bus tour take you through some of the highlights of Manhattan with narration so you can make the most of your visit. See the iconic Flatiron Building with its beautiful façade offering amazing photo opportunities. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city in Greenwich Village. There will be opportunities to walk around and take pictures along the route at multiple locations. Tour bus will pick up and drop off at the hotel.

Museum Highlights: An Introduction to the Met’s Collection
Take a journey around the world, experiencing highlights of the Museum’s vast collections of master paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts from ancient times to the present. Guided tour lasts 1 hour. Following the tour, weather permitting we will walk over to Central Park. Tour bus will pick up and drop off at the hotel. Box lunch to be provided.
Museum of Modern Art

Within walking distance from the Sheraton, the MoMA is often identified as the most influential museum of modern art in the world. It is also one of the largest. The museum’s collection offers an overview of modern and contemporary art, including works of architecture and design, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, prints, illustrated books and artist’s books, film and electronic media. MoMA visit includes a guided gallery tour with a MoMA educator.

World Trade Center Memorial & The Oculus

The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood. Architect Michael Arad and landscape architect Peter Walker created the Memorial design selected from a global design competition that included more than 5,200 entries from 63 nations.. Within a stone’s throw is the iconic Oculus with over 100 stores and restaurants. Tour bus will pick up and drop off at the hotel. (Please note: There will be a simultaneous behind the scenes technical tour related to architectural and structural work at the Oculus for those who are interested)
Radio City Music Hall Art Deco Tour
